Coming into the Light

Well this is exciting and nerve-racking at the same time! My first blog post on a website that is devoted to me and my work – no pressure right? By now you’ve probably peeked around my photos and services and found yourself on this page because you want to know more about who I am and what makes me different from other personal trainers. If you’ve read my client testimonials, I hope you’ve picked up on the idea that I provide challenging workouts that are specific to each clients needs, goals and capabilities. I think its easy to design a workout that leaves a client in a sweaty mess, but designing a program with the intention of making a client better takes more.

There’s a little saying that runs through my head almost on a daily basis – its kind of like my mantra. “Don’t blow out someone else’s candle to make your’s burn brighter”. Or, don’t make someone else feel less than just so you can prove yourself. Making someone feel less worthy, less capable, less strong doesn’t prove anything except that you’re good at being a jerk. My sessions with my clients have nothing to do with my ego or desire to show how I can be a “tough as nails trainer”. We train hard, but we train with intention. When your candle glows brighter, so does mine. Reading the testimonials from my clients, getting their emails and text messages, feeds my candle.

So, what can you expect from a workout from me? A fun, challenging workout that is focused on how your body moves. Will I push you outside of your comfort zone? Yes. Will you be able to perform the exercises with confidence? Yes. Will you love it? YES!
