Pivoting Again

This is not the update I expected to be posting this week. This post was supposed to be about new in-person classes in January -- a kettlebell class, another kids' fitness class and more strength and conditioning classes. Instead I'm writing tonight to tell you about more virtual class options being added to the schedule and reducing class pass capacity for in-person classes.

Starting Saturday, December 18th, all classes on my schedule (except Barbell Basics) will be either virtual or in-person.

I love, love, love my new studio space and look forward to having all of you come and enjoy the studio with me. It is quickly becoming a second home for me and I want it to feel the same way when you come for a workout. I've decided to reduce the in-person class capacity to a maximum 4 people and will require everyone to keep their masks on (which everyone has been doing anyway). For the next little while, in-person class attendees will stay at their own station for the duration of the class. All the equipment you will need will be at your station.

For those who choose to join class virtually, you'll find a few more options have been added to the schedule:
Saturday @10am (Whole Body Challenge)
Monday @6am (Strength + Conditioning)
Tuesday @5:30pm (S+C)
Wednesday @6am (S+C)
Thursday @1pm (S+C)
Friday @6am (S+C)
Friday @10am (Mobility)

As the circumstances in the province and city change, this class schedule will also change. As many of us are being impacted by the pandemic in varying ways, at this time I will be flexible with class pass expiration dates. Please email me with any concerns so that I can adjust your expiry date.

Kids Classes

Sigh. I love having the kids in the studio and we have been having a GREAT time and super fun workouts over the last few weeks. I want more of the energy of the kids in my studio. But the circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic changed dramatically just in the past week. Until the kids have a chance to receive the second dose of their vaccines I've decided to put the Girl Squad and Co-Ed Youth classes on hold. I really, really hope to resume these classes very early in the new year.

Updated Studio Protocols

  • You will be required to show proof of full vaccination upon entry.

  • There will be a screening checklist to complete before each class or training session.

  • All class attendees and personal training clients will be required to wear a mask during their workouts. I recommend using a disposable mask and will have some available for you at the front door if you do not have your own.

  • Two HEPA filters will be running at all times during training sessions and classes. The front door will also be kept open to allow for extra ventilation.

  • Hand sanitizer will be provided through the studio. There is also a washroom in the studio where you will be encouraged to wash your hands before and after class/training session.

In strength and love,

KSA
